Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

Every order that leaves this clothing distribution centre in Randburg passes through your hands first. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a clothing distribution centre on the Randburg side of Gauteng. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin

• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
