Job Description

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a bus and coach operator in Alberton, that could be you. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll report in Alberton. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Update customers on delivery times and delays
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries

Must-haves

Good with Excel and email
Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
Transport management system (TMS) experience

Training on the fleet and tracking systems
