Job Description

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a distribution depot in Randburg. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Randburg-based, with most of your time spent at a distribution depot. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles

Must-haves

At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Matric
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
Good with Excel and email
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Calm and decisive when things go wrong

Nice if you have

Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
Logistics or supply chain certificate
Knowledge of cross-border documentation
