You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a courier operations centre in Somerset West, keeping every trip on time. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Update customers on delivery times and delays

• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong

• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office

• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts

• Training on the fleet and tracking systems

• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
