Job Description

Get off the road and into the control office at a road freight company in George. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a road freight company in George. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity

Must-haves

Matric
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
Good with Excel and email
At least 2 years in transport or logistics

Helpful, not essential

Transport management system (TMS) experience
Previous truck driving experience
