Job Description

The iron ore beneficiation plant near Polokwane needs operators who can run their area safely on a 24-hour shift cycle. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is in Polokwane (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What your day looks like

Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks
Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk
Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards
Take samples at set times and bring them to the lab
Adjust reagent dosing and air flow to hit recovery targets

What you need

Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science
At least 1 year operating a processing plant
Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
Comfortable around noise, dust and heights while wearing full PPE
MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station

Nice if you have

Control room experience
N4 to N6 or a diploma in Extraction Metallurgy
