Domestic Helper (3 Days a Week) – Experienced

A family in Paarl wants someone they can trust with their family home and their children. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a family home on the Paarl side of Western Cape. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Help an elderly person with meals, medication reminders and light walking
• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on a weekly rotation
• Wash, hang, iron and fold the household's laundry
• Water indoor plants and feed pets
• Keep a list of cleaning supplies running low for the employer
• Clean windows and patio doors once a week

• Able to handle a full-day physical routine
• Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines
• South African ID or valid work permit
• Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised

• Transport money for live-out staff
• Paid annual leave and public holidays as the law requires
• Own room with bathroom for live-in posts

• Say plainly what you can and cannot do: cooking, ironing, childcare, driving. It avoids arguments later and families like honesty.
• Families hire on trust, so make references your strongest part. Write the employer's name, suburb, years worked and phone number for each one.
