Domestic Worker (Live-Out, Weekdays)

Steady household work in a retired couple's cottage in Durban Central, with clear days and hours agreed upfront. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Location: Durban Central, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on a weekly rotation
• Keep a list of cleaning supplies running low for the employer
• Prepare simple meals or school lunches when asked
• Help an elderly person with meals, medication reminders and light walking
• Change bed linen and make beds
• Clean windows and patio doors once a week
• Wash dishes and keep the kitchen tidy after meals

• Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines
• Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised
• South African ID or valid work permit
• Able to handle a full-day physical routine
• Able to speak and understand basic English

• Cooking experience with family meals
• Basic first aid or child CPR course

• Written contract with fixed hours and duties
• Registered for UIF and COIDA by the employer
• Own room with bathroom for live-in posts
• Paid annual leave and public holidays as the law requires
