Domestic Worker with Elderly Care – Immediate Start

Steady household work in a large estate home in Cape Town CBD, with clear days and hours agreed upfront. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Cape Town CBD. Relocation is not covered for this one. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Change bed linen and make beds
• Keep a list of cleaning supplies running low for the employer
• Get children ready for school and supervise homework in the afternoon
• Wash dishes and keep the kitchen tidy after meals
• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on a weekly rotation

• Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised
• South African ID or valid work permit
• Able to handle a full-day physical routine
• Trustworthy, with references from previous employers you can share
• Able to speak and understand basic English
• Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines

• Experience caring for an older person
• Basic first aid or child CPR course

• Paid annual leave and public holidays as the law requires
• Written contract with fixed hours and duties
• Transport money for live-out staff

• Ask for a written contract and to be registered for UIF. Good employers expect the question and it protects you.
• Families hire on trust, so make references your strongest part. Write the employer's name, suburb, years worked and phone number for each one.
