Domestic Worker with Elderly Care

You'll keep a large estate home in Rosslyn clean, calm and running smoothly for the family. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a large estate home in Rosslyn. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Dust furniture, ornaments and skirting boards
• Wash dishes and keep the kitchen tidy after meals
• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on a weekly rotation
• Prepare simple meals or school lunches when asked
• Wash, hang, iron and fold the household's laundry
• Keep a list of cleaning supplies running low for the employer

• Trustworthy, with references from previous employers you can share
• Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines
• Able to speak and understand basic English
• Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised

• Experience caring for an older person
• Non-smoker

• Written contract with fixed hours and duties
• Paid annual leave and public holidays as the law requires
• Registered for UIF and COIDA by the employer

• Families hire on trust, so make references your strongest part. Write the employer's name, suburb, years worked and phone number for each one.
• Say plainly what you can and cannot do: cooking, ironing, childcare, driving. It avoids arguments later and families like honesty.
