Driver's Assistant (Parcel Routes)

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a parcel sorting hub in Ballito wants. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• No criminal record

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Basic furniture assembly skills

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Help to get your own licence through the company later

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
