Job Description

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this beverage depot in Benoni, and you move the stock in between. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Benoni-based, with most of your time spent at a beverage depot.

What you'll actually do

Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises

Must-haves

Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Willing to travel on routes that return late
Friendly with customers at the door
No criminal record

Nice if you have

Past work as a driver's assistant
Basic furniture assembly skills

What you get

Meal allowance on long-route days
Uniform and safety shoes provided
Route-completion incentives in busy months
Help to get your own licence through the company later

Applying, step by step

Make sure the role, the hours and working in Benoni really suit you before you apply.
Keep copies of these ready to send: police clearance if you already have one, clear copy of your ID with a certification stamp plus CV noting any loading, moving or delivery work.
Use the form on this page. It takes about two minutes and you don't need to upload anything yet.
Watch for a call or WhatsApp from How2Apply over the next 8 working days.

Applying is free. Nobody from How2Apply will ever ask you to pay for anything to get this job.

Tips to get shortlisted

Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
