Job Description

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a parcel sorting hub in Boksburg wants. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Boksburg-based, with most of your time spent at a parcel sorting hub. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit

Must-haves

Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Friendly with customers at the door
Willing to travel on routes that return late
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

Extra points for

Past work as a driver's assistant
Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
Basic furniture assembly skills
