Job Description

You'll load and offload trucks at a beverage depot in Durban Central so every delivery goes out full and correct. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a beverage depot on the Durban Central side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What you'll actually do

Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

What you need

Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
No criminal record
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

Nice if you have

Past work as a driver's assistant
A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
