Driver's Assistant (Parcel Routes) – Permanent

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this parcel sorting hub in Germiston, and you move the stock in between. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll report in Germiston. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• No criminal record

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
