Job Description

You'll load and offload trucks at a parcel sorting hub in Vereeniging so every delivery goes out full and correct. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at a parcel sorting hub in Vereeniging. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit

Must-haves

Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
Friendly with customers at the door
No criminal record
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

Helpful, not essential

A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
Past work as a driver's assistant
Basic furniture assembly skills
