ECD Practitioner (Toddler Class) – Fixed-Term

You'll care for and teach young children at a private pre-primary school in Fourways, from nappies to first letters. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll report in Fourways. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Observe each child and note milestones in their development file
• Help aftercare learners with homework and reading
• Prepare simple, nutritious snacks and keep the kitchen hygienic
• Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine
• Watch children closely outside and keep the play area safe
• Clean and sanitise toys, mats and tables at the end of the day
• Chat to parents at drop-off and pick-up about how the day went

• Paediatric first aid certificate
• Able to follow hygiene and safety routines without cutting corners
• Warm, patient and energetic with small children
• Experience caring for children in a group setting, even as a volunteer

• Speak more than one home language of the children you'll teach
• Basic music, art or movement skills for group activities

• Add one sentence about an activity you ran that the children loved; it shows you can plan, not just supervise.
