Job Description

You'll design, protect and maintain electrical systems for the solar and battery project developer in Boksburg. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at a solar and battery project developer in Boksburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Design solar PV and battery systems and handle grid connection to NRS 097
Plan maintenance for switchgear, transformers and motor control centres
Review PLC and SCADA logic for process control and alarms
Set and test protection relays and keep settings records
Draw up tender specifications and bills of quantities for electrical works

You'll need

Experience with at least one power system or lighting design package
At least 3 years of electrical engineering work after graduating
Code 08 licence and willingness to travel to sites
ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate
Strong understanding of SANS 10142 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
