Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services)

From MV switchgear to PLCs, this water treatment utility in Tzaneen needs a sharp electrical engineer. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Tzaneen. Relocation is not covered for this one. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Review PLC and SCADA logic for process control and alarms
• Design solar PV and battery systems and handle grid connection to NRS 097
• Keep single line diagrams and as-built drawings up to date
• Guide technicians and contractors on site during commissioning
• Inspect installations and sign off compliance on completion
• Draw up tender specifications and bills of quantities for electrical works

• Code 08 licence and willingness to travel to sites
• Experience with at least one power system or lighting design package
• Able to write clear technical reports and specifications
• BEng or BSc Eng in Electrical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist posts
• ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate

• Clear path to associate or senior engineer
