Electrical Engineer (GCC Factories)

The manufacturing plant in Centurion needs an electrical engineer for projects that go from design to commissioning. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The site is in Centurion; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Inspect installations and sign off compliance on completion
• Plan maintenance for switchgear, transformers and motor control centres
• Investigate power quality problems with a power analyser
• Size cables, transformers and protection using design software
• Guide technicians and contractors on site during commissioning

• ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate
• Able to write clear technical reports and specifications
• BEng or BSc Eng in Electrical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist posts
• Code 08 licence and willingness to travel to sites
• Strong understanding of SANS 10142 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• At least 3 years of electrical engineering work after graduating

• Protection or HV operating authorisation
• Government Certificate of Competency (Electrical, Factories or Mines)

• Flexible hours on design days

• Clear path to associate or senior engineer
• Paid professional registration and training
