Electrical Engineer (GCC Factories)

From MV switchgear to PLCs, this water treatment utility in Secunda needs a sharp electrical engineer. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Secunda, Mpumalanga, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Keep single line diagrams and as-built drawings up to date
• Design LV and MV reticulation to SANS 10142-1 and SANS 10142-2
• Draw up tender specifications and bills of quantities for electrical works
• Investigate power quality problems with a power analyser
• Plan maintenance for switchgear, transformers and motor control centres

• Able to write clear technical reports and specifications
• At least 3 years of electrical engineering work after graduating
• Strong understanding of SANS 10142 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate
• Code 08 licence and willingness to travel to sites
• Experience with at least one power system or lighting design package
