Job Description

You'll design, protect and maintain electrical systems for the manufacturing plant in Welkom. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a manufacturing plant on the Welkom side of Free State.

What your day looks like

Set and test protection relays and keep settings records
Review PLC and SCADA logic for process control and alarms
Draw up tender specifications and bills of quantities for electrical works
Keep single line diagrams and as-built drawings up to date
Investigate power quality problems with a power analyser

You'll need

At least 3 years of electrical engineering work after graduating
BEng or BSc Eng in Electrical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist posts
ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate
Code 08 licence and willingness to travel to sites
