Job Description

The manufacturing plant in Paarl needs an electrical engineer for projects that go from design to commissioning. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The work is in Paarl, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What you'll actually do

Review PLC and SCADA logic for process control and alarms
Keep single line diagrams and as-built drawings up to date
Investigate power quality problems with a power analyser
Design solar PV and battery systems and handle grid connection to NRS 097
Design LV and MV reticulation to SANS 10142-1 and SANS 10142-2

What you need

Code 08 licence and willingness to travel to sites
Strong understanding of SANS 10142 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate
BEng or BSc Eng in Electrical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist posts
Able to write clear technical reports and specifications

Extra points for
