Job Description

The residential electrical contractor in Lephalale needs a qualified electrician who can work neatly and sign off safe installations. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a residential electrical contractor on the Lephalale side of Limpopo.

What you'll actually do

Test installations and issue Certificates of Compliance where your registration allows
Run conduit, trunking and cable tray on new builds and renovations
Complete job cards, material lists and test reports at the end of each job
Replace faulty light fittings, plugs, geyser elements and thermostats
Install and wire distribution boards, isolators and earth leakage units to SANS 10142-1
Terminate armoured cable and fit glands on three-phase motor supplies

What you need

Clean criminal record, since you will work inside client homes
Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
Your own basic hand tools and a calibrated multimeter
Comfortable working at heights on ladders and in roof spaces
Valid Code 08 driver's licence

N3 electrical trade theory on top of your trade test
PLC and motor control experience from a factory setting
