Job Description

Strong, willing hands are wanted on a road rehabilitation project in Mogwase. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Mogwase. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Dig trenches and foundations to the depth the foreman marks
Set up barriers, cones and signs around open trenches
Clean tools, mixers and wheelbarrows at the end of each day
Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
Pass tools and materials to the plumber or electrician as needed
Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes

Must-haves

You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
Prepared to travel between sites in the area
Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
A clean record is preferred for some government sites
Willing to start early, often at 06:30

Helpful, not essential

Registered on your ward or municipal job-seeker database
Some experience with a jackhammer, grinder or plate compactor

On offer
