End-User Computing Technician

A call centre campus in Mahikeng needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The site is in Mahikeng; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers

• Patient and friendly with non-technical users
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma

• Standby pay for after-hours cover
• Clear path to second-line and systems roles
• Travel allowance for field technicians

• List your certifications right under your name; A+ and ITIL are common keyword filters.
