Enrolled Nurse (Surgical Ward)

A home-based care agency in Prospecton needs someone kind and reliable to look after patients who can't manage alone. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Prospecton. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Help patients walk, transfer from bed to chair and do their exercises
• Spot confusion, falls risk or changes in mood and tell the nurse in charge
• Keep the fluid and food intake charts accurate for every patient
• Hand out oral medication under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Turn bed-bound patients on schedule and check pressure areas for early sores
• Make beds, change linen and keep the rooms clean and uncluttered

• SANC enrolment as an Enrolled Nurse or Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary for nursing posts
• Patient and gentle with elderly, frail or confused people
• Able to work shifts, including nights and weekends
• First aid Level 1 or BLS certificate
• At least 1 year of hands-on patient care

• Code B or Code 8 driver's licence for home visits
• Experience in a frail care or hospice setting

• Uniform supplied
• Overtime paid at time and a half
• Transport home after late shifts at some facilities
