Estate Security Supervisor – Immediate Start

Officers look to you on every shift at a mining operation in George. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a mining operation in George. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours

• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent

• Mining or hospital security experience
• Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app

• Cellphone allowance
• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Provident fund and funeral cover

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
