Rapid Response Officer (Farm Security)

When a panic button goes off in a mixed-use neighbourhood in Brackenfell, you are the one who arrives first. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a mixed-use neighbourhood in Brackenfell. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over

• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts

• First-aid Level 2 or 3
• Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
• Advanced driving course

• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Danger and night allowances
