Mine Security Supervisor – Permanent

Officers look to you on every shift at a guarding contract across several sites in George. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a guarding contract across several sites on the George side of Western Cape. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows

• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent

• Own reliable vehicle
• Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app

• Provident fund and funeral cover
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Cellphone allowance
• Management training for growth to operations manager

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
