Job Description

Step up from guarding into supervising on a mining operation in Pietermaritzburg. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a mining operation on the Pietermaritzburg side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What you'll actually do

Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
Do surprise night visits to check posts
Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
Meet the client weekly on security concerns

You'll need

Matric, with a security management course a plus
At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

Helpful, not essential

Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app
Own reliable vehicle
