Estate Security Supervisor

A security company in Roodepoort wants a firm, fair supervisor for its residential estate. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Roodepoort-based, with most of your time spent at a residential estate. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records

• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Available after hours for emergencies
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor

• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Mining or hospital security experience
• Own reliable vehicle

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Cellphone allowance
• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Provident fund and funeral cover

• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
