Estimator (Tenders & Pricing)

This is a numbers job with boots on: bills of quantities, site measurements and payment claims in Randburg. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a property development company in Randburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Prepare the final account at the end of the project
• Measure work on site for monthly interim payment certificates
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs
• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings
• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities
• Value variations and prepare claims under JBCC or GCC conditions
• Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early

• BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• Code 08 licence for site visits
• Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses
• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work

• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
• Hybrid days in the office and on site
• Travel allowance for site visits
• Study support for an honours degree
