Job Description

You'll measure, price and manage the money on building projects for the quantity surveying practice in Worcester. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll report in Worcester. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Draft subcontract agreements and payment schedules
Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early
Value variations and prepare claims under JBCC or GCC conditions
Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities
Measure work on site for monthly interim payment certificates
Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings

What you need

Code 08 licence for site visits
BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work
Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses
