Junior Quantity Surveyor (Private Practice)

You'll measure, price and manage the money on building projects for the main building contractor in Montague Gardens. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a main building contractor on the Montague Gardens side of Western Cape. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early
• Measure work on site for monthly interim payment certificates
• Draft subcontract agreements and payment schedules
• Prepare the final account at the end of the project
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs

• Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses
• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• Code 08 licence for site visits
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work

• Estimating software experience on top of Excel
• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying

• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
• Travel allowance for site visits
• Hybrid days in the office and on site
