Evening Turndown Housekeeper – Immediate Start

Housekeeping at a boutique guesthouse in Randburg is steady work with room to grow into supervising. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Randburg-based, with most of your time spent at a boutique guesthouse. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift

• Grade 10 or matric
• Well groomed
• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift

• A hospitality short course or NQF Level 2 accommodation services certificate
• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests
• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Share of the service charge or guest tips
