Evening Turndown Housekeeper

You'll turn rooms around at a game lodge in White River so every guest walks into a room that feels new. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is White River-based, with most of your time spent at a game lodge. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry

• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Well groomed

• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges

• Write how many rooms you usually cleaned per shift. Head housekeepers care about pace as much as quality.
• Mention seasonal availability for December and Easter. Coastal and lodge properties hire heavily before those peaks.
