Event Security Steward (Stadium)

Steady 12-hour shifts at a private school campus in Benoni for PSIRA-registered officers. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at a private school campus in Benoni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register

• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• First-aid Level 1 certificate

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Provident fund contributions
