Facilities Maintenance Handyman (Office Park)

Every day is different here: small repairs, painting and planned maintenance at the residential security estate in Benoni. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Benoni-based, with most of your time spent at a residential security estate. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas
• Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats
• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
• Check fire extinguishers, emergency lights and escape routes on a monthly checklist
• Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers

• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
• Available for the occasional weekend emergency

• Gate motor and intercom repair skills
• Experience with a work order system on a phone app
• Basic first aid certificate

• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• Meals on duty at hotel sites
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• On-site accommodation at some estates
