Facilities Maintenance Handyman (Office Park)

Every day is different here: small repairs, painting and planned maintenance at the city hotel in Epping. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a city hotel on the Epping side of Western Cape. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
• Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
• Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used
• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
• Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)
• Check fire extinguishers, emergency lights and escape routes on a monthly checklist
• Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas

• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
• Available for the occasional weekend emergency

• Basic first aid certificate
• Pool and borehole pump experience

• Meals on duty at hotel sites
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• On-site accommodation at some estates
