Job Description

Machines set the pace at this meat processing plant in Boksburg; you keep up and catch the faults. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a meat processing plant on the Boksburg side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages
Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run

Must-haves

Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
Available for rotating day and night shifts

Helpful, not essential

NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
Some basic first-aid training
