Factory Hand (Bottling Plant)

Here in Epping, a meat processing plant needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Epping (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages
• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers

• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check

• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
• Some basic first-aid training

• Company transport on some night shifts
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Path to machine operator after six months
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay

• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
