Job Description

Animals do not take weekends off, and a sheep farm near East London needs caring, reliable hands. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Location: East London, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Move animals between camps or pens calmly
Milk cows in the parlour following the milking routine
Help the vet with vaccinations and treatments
Collect eggs or check broiler house temperatures
Record births, deaths and treatments in the herd book

You'll need

Reliable, since animals depend on you
Comfortable around large animals
Follows hygiene and biosecurity rules
South African ID or a legal work permit

Extra points for

Basic farm maintenance skills
Supervisory experience for foreman roles

On offer
