Field Sales Rep (Informal Trade & Spaza) – Experienced

This hardware and paint supplier needs a rep in Epping who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a hardware and paint supplier in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
• Set up promotional displays and check planogram compliance with photos.
• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.
• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.

• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• Matric
• A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles
• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area

• A sales or marketing certificate
• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position

• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
• Cellphone and data allowance
• Branded uniform and safety boots

• Bring numbers: cases sold per month, new outlets opened or growth percentages on your route.
• Recruiters check your licence first, so attach a clear certified copy and note any clean driving record.
