Job Description

You'll cover a route of stores around Kimberley, selling in stock and fixing shelves as you go. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a beverage distributor on the Kimberley side of Northern Cape. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.
Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.

You'll need

You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles

Helpful, not essential

Existing relationships with independent retailers
Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position
