Job Description

This pet food manufacturer needs a rep in Pietermaritzburg who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a pet food manufacturer on the Pietermaritzburg side of KwaZulu-Natal. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.
Set up promotional displays and check planogram compliance with photos.
Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
Take orders from store managers and spaza owners on the sales app.
Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.

What you need

Matric
You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves

Extra points for

A sales or marketing certificate
Speaking two or more local languages
Existing relationships with independent retailers
