Field Sales Rep (Informal Trade & Spaza)

Shelves sell the product, and at this dairy producer you'll keep them full, neat and priced right. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Rustenburg-based, with most of your time spent at a dairy producer. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.
• Take orders from store managers and spaza owners on the sales app.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.

• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles
• Matric
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting

• Speaking two or more local languages
• A sales or marketing certificate
• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position

• Cellphone and data allowance
• Product samples and staff pricing
• Branded uniform and safety boots

• Name the areas you know and the store types you have serviced (supermarket chains, independents, spazas) in your CV summary.
• Bring numbers: cases sold per month, new outlets opened or growth percentages on your route.
