Finance Manager (SME)

A mid-sized manufacturing group in Stellenbosch needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT

• Hybrid schedule outside month-end week
• Paid professional body membership fees
