Finance Manager (SME)

Your reports shape real decisions at this mid-sized manufacturing group in Welkom, so they must be right. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Welkom-based, with most of your time spent at a mid-sized manufacturing group. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
