Financial Accountant (Manufacturing) – Fixed-Term

A mid-sized manufacturing group in Centurion needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Centurion, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience

• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
• Completed articles at an audit firm
• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
